about

“Nothing Left to Say” is the current recording project that is in works by Dangerous Doug Harper. Unlike many of the other projects that Harper has produced this one is said to be slightly different. Some of the differences that fans may notice is that all of the tracks will be a full band. Many of Harper’s more recent recordings were just stripped down with just himself and a guitar or two guitars and two vocals. “This album will be my best” Harper said of the work in progress. It is a concept album of sorts, though many of Harper’s works are intended that way, but he says “This one will make a lot more sense to everyone, and have a clearer message”. Although Harper did say there would be a few unusual and less serious songs on there such as a song called “We Must Clone Trevor”, though most of the songs are more serious, and with much passion. The last few Dangerous Doug Harper albums were more on the artistic, thought provoking, poetic, and even darker, and angry. The new work will be more about arriving, forgiveness, finding the answers, and ends with a conclusion. Most of Harper’s past works have been more open ended, and less conclusive than this one will be. Though the project will be raw it will feel more complete and whole, than the more empty sessions of the last few titles have been. Also the record will be much more consistent. The last few projects have also taken place in lots of places, this project will be very consistent in production from track to track though the songs will be very turbulent from track to track. Staying consistent with the message of past productions such as “Number Eleven” from the project titles “Tips Appreciated” there will be only 11 songs on the disc. Among other differences from the more recent projects by Harper, this one will include a number of guest musicians, and more of a band feel throughout, and song structure more like his earlier works in which he had a band mindset in play. No word on how Harper plans to present this work live, but Harper even said himself “acoustic versions of the song will just not cut it” on this project.
